HOW TO BRING A CURATED APPROACH TO EVERYTHING
To curate is to select with intention.
In galleries, curators choose works that sit together coherently. In wardrobes, we can do the same. In homes, in routines, in digital spaces, the principle holds.
A curated life is not minimal by default. It is intentional.
It asks:
- Does this belong?
- Does this serve a purpose?
- Does this align with how we want to live?
Curation requires pause.
Without pause, we accumulate. With pause, we evaluate.
When applied broadly, a curated approach shifts how we relate to consumption. Instead of asking “Do I like this?”, we ask “Does this fit?”
Does it fit our manifesto?
Does it fit our space?
Does it fit our daily rhythm?
Does it strengthen or clutter?
Curation also requires subtraction.
We remove what no longer serves. We reduce duplication. We resist adding simply because something is available.
Over time, a curated approach builds cohesion. Purchases speak to one another. Items combine easily. Decision-making becomes lighter.
Sustainability becomes embedded not through restriction, but through alignment.
When everything in our orbit is there deliberately, we consume less by default
