It’s run by me – Ilona Marchetta – a globally certified sustainability practitioner. And someone who loves to shop.
I’ve spent years helping companies identify their impacts on people and the planet and communicate their sustainability performance to their investors and the market.
Having a career in sustainability has made me a more conscious consumer, particularly when I’m shopping for fashion and beauty, two verticals that are absolutely annihilating the planet.
There is a near constant inner tension when you’re a highly empathic person living in a capitalist society. I resolve it by swapping short dopamine-fuelled hits of consumption for the deep satisfaction of a room, wardrobe and beauty cabinet that has been slowly, intentionally curated.
The average consumer does not have the benefit of years of study to help them wade through confusing claims, certifications and competing messages.

Rather than encouraging constant consumption or chasing trends, the platform highlights ideas, companies and products that demonstrate care for people, respect for environmental limits, and a commitment to longevity.
The aim is not to buy more sustainably, but to buy less, better, and with intention.
